Using Different Visual Styles Across Different Scenes

Master per-scene visual assignments: lock individual scene styles, let Adaptive Styles recommend treatments, or build a Custom Style Mix.

Choosing Your Direction Method

In Creative Bible (/studio/creative), the Creative Direction card lets you decide how visual styles are distributed across your scenes:

  • Single Style — Every shot inherits the same style. Best for narrative fiction, short stories, and uniform animations.
  • Adaptive Styles — The AI analyzes each scene's narrative purpose and picks the best matching style from your active library (e.g. dramatic scenes get cinematic film, data scenes get infographics).
  • Custom Style Mix — You choose 2 to 6 specific styles, and manually assign which scene gets which style. The AI only fills scenes you leave open.

Locking a Scene's Style Manually

You can change or lock any individual scene's visual style at any time:

  1. In Creative Bible, scroll to Style of each shot (or open the Scenes stage).
  2. Find the scene you want to change.
  3. Open the style dropdown for that scene and pick your desired visual style or mode.
  4. Your choice is immediately LOCKED. Running automated script re-breakdowns will NEVER overwrite your manual choice.
  5. To return a locked shot back to AI automatic selection, click Let the system decide.

Maintaining Cross-Scene Harmony

When using multiple styles, Flow Batch Studio injects shared cross-scene continuity rules (color temperature, lighting mood, and recurring character features) into every shot regardless of its individual medium. This ensures that even when a video transitions from live-action to an animated diagram, the entire video feels like one cohesive production.
