Assets
Inspect every image, video and audio file of the production, upload media and assign it to scenes.
Open Assets in the Studio#Asset overview
The overview shows how many scenes still have no image or video. Aim for every scene having at least one visual before Final Review.
#Import media
Import media always goes into the project open in the Production card at the top; there is no separate project choice. Drop files anywhere on the Import media card (it lights up while you drag) or choose them, many PNG, JPG, WEBP, MP4, MOV or WEBM files at once, in any order. Narration is managed in Audio and is never assigned to a scene.
- Images find their scene by name. Put the word scene and the scene's number anywhere in the file name:
scene1.png,Scene_001.png,scene-3_final.webp,2026-10-12_scene 3_v2.png. Capitals, spaces, underscores, hyphens, leading zeros, dates and version labels are fine. Scene 1 is never confused with scene 10 or 100. - Every scene is shown, in order, as a card: scene number and time range, its narration, the matched image on the right and its duration. A scene with no file says No media matched; nothing moves to fill the gap.
- *Files that cannot be placed wait under Needs a scene*** with the reason: no scene number in the name, a scene the project does not have, two different scene numbers in one name, or a date where the number should be (
scene-2026-10-12). Choose the scene there, or remove the file. Videos are never matched by name; choose their scene. - Adding to a scene is never silent. If the scene already has a visual, or several files point to it, the card says so (nothing is replaced: each file is added as another visual). Confirm all at the top accepts them in one click, or use Move to scene… on a card.
- Import uploads the ready files three at a time, with progress on each card. A file is Assigned only once it is stored and saved to its scene. A failed file shows why and can be retried; importing the same file into the same scene again does not create a copy.
- Switching project stops the import. Nothing is ever sent to the newly opened project: files already on their way finish in the project they started in, the rest are not imported, and a note says what happened.
#Production media bin
- Filter by All, Images, Videos, Audio, Unassigned, References, Generated or Imported, and search by asset, scene or model.
- Click an asset to preview it; reassign its scene directly from the card.
- Select several assets to download them together.
- Each thumbnail appears once (the finished thumbnail); the raw artwork it was made from is kept with it but not listed.
The order of visuals inside a scene is the order the editor timeline uses when a scene has several visuals.
