Finding your way around

The Studio sidebar, the production stage bar, choosing a project and script, and where background work shows up.

Open Dashboard in the Studio

#Dashboard

The Dashboard is your starting point: Your productions lists every video with its current stage, Recent activity shows what happened lately, and How Flow works summarizes the stage order. Open a production to continue where you left off.

#The production stage bar

Production pages show the selected project and approved script (with a status that says whether the script is approved and ready), then the nine stages. Changing the project or script there switches the whole page to that video. When you choose a project, its approved script is selected automatically (pick another one under Approved script if the project has several). Stage pages always work on one approved script version, so later stages never mix media from different script versions.

Script (writing a new script) has no stage bar: it has its own project picker under Production workspace. The bar appears once a script is approved and production starts.

#Product tour

The first time you open the Studio, a short tour shows you around: projects, the Production menu, Script, Pipeline, background work and where to find help. It ends with the best first step for your account.

Replay it any time from your account menu (Product tour) or from How to use this page.

#How to use this page

Every Studio page has a How to use this page button. It opens a short checklist for that page and a Read the full guide link to the matching page here.

#Background work and alerts

Long tasks (scripts, scenes, narration, visual batches, packages) run in the background, so you can leave the page. Follow them in Jobs; completions and failures also appear in Notifications.
