Notification channels (Telegram & Discord)
Set up outbound Telegram and Discord alerts, and customize which generation outcomes reach your devices.

Flow Batch Studio records all activity in the durable in-app Notification Center (accessible via the bell icon in the topbar). Outbound notification channels allow you to receive real-time updates directly in Telegram and Discord without keeping the browser open.
Outbound channels are managed in Settings → Notifications from a single Notification channels card. Clicking Connect or Manage on either provider opens a unified configuration modal for credentials, test delivery, and event preferences.
#Connecting Telegram
- Open Telegram and start a conversation with the official bot @FlowBatchBot (or send
/start). - The bot replies with your unique numeric Telegram Chat ID.
- In Flow Batch Studio, navigate to Settings → Notifications and click Connect on the Telegram row.
- Enter your Chat ID, then click Verify and connect to receive a test message.
- Once confirmed, use the preferences modal to select which events are delivered to Telegram.
#Connecting Discord
- In your Discord server, open the settings for the channel where you want notifications (Edit Channel → Integrations → Webhooks).
- Click New Webhook, name it (e.g. 'Flow Batch Studio'), and click Copy Webhook URL.
- In Flow Batch Studio, navigate to Settings → Notifications and click Connect on the Discord row.
- Paste your webhook URL, then click Connect and verify.
- Flow verifies the URL destination, encrypts the webhook securely on the server with AES-256-GCM, and delivers an immediate test confirmation message to your channel.
#Event preferences & batch semantics
- Pipeline milestones: Select specific stage updates (Script approval, Scene breakdown, Narration audio, Visual generation).
- Batch operations vs Result Import: For Gemini and OpenAI batches, provider completion and Studio asset import are tracked separately so notifications only report assets as ready once they are saved in Flow.
- Job failures & system alerts: Get immediate alerts if an API rate-limit or provider error occurs, with direct links to the relevant job in Jobs.
- Publishing milestones: Receive confirmation when YouTube metadata and Final Review bundles are completed.
#Troubleshooting & security
- Delivery failures do not halt production: Outbound notifications run in an isolated background dispatcher. If Telegram or Discord is unreachable or rate-limited, all video generation jobs continue uninterrupted.
- Action required state: If a Discord webhook is deleted or regenerated in Discord, Flow marks the connection as Action required. Reconnect with the new webhook URL to resume alerts.
- Server-side secret protection: Webhook URLs and tokens are validated against strict hostname allowlists (preventing SSRF abuse), encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and never logged or exposed in client responses.
