Script

Turn a topic, a YouTube video or your own transcript into a researched outline, then a full narration script you approve.

#Choose how the script starts

SourceWhen to use it
TopicYou have a subject or idea; Flow researches it and writes an original script.
YouTube videoUse a competitor or reference video as source material for an original outline (Competitor Video → Original Outline).
Your script or transcriptPaste text you already have; Flow improves it or uses it as the base.

Choose the project the script belongs to under Production workspace (or create one there). The Script page has no stage bar; it starts at choosing how the script begins.

#Script writing mode (V1 and V2)

ModeWhat it does
V1 · LegacyThe default. Outline first, then the full script section by section.
V2 · IntelligentAdds evidence mapping, claim checks, story blueprints and retention planning on top of the outline.

The mode is saved per project. You can change it before generating.

#Customize your script

  • Content niche and Topic — what the video is about.
  • Video length — the target runtime; the script's word count follows it.
  • Tone — how the narration should sound.
  • Target audience and Custom instructions — anything the writer must know (phrases to avoid, recurring segments).

Active Style Library styles and Skills are applied automatically.

#Review the outline

The outline is a checkpoint before the full script. For each section you can edit the section title, target words, description and key role, and move sections up or down. The research dossier (sources, key claims, people, sites & organizations) is shown with it.

Fix the structure here; it is much cheaper than rewriting a full script.

#Generate and approve the script

  1. Generate the full script from the approved outline. Long scripts are written section by section in the background.
  2. Read it in the script view and edit any section.
  3. Approve it. The approved script is what every later stage uses.

Changing an approved script after production started creates a new version; scenes, narration and visuals stay tied to the version they were made from.
